It has become a trend in Dubai for lavish New Years Eve packages to grab the headlines as properties vie for attention for their increasingly expensive options.
This year is no exception, as one hotel launched what it claims to be one of the most expensive hotel packages in the world – and they could be right.
ME Dubai’s New Years Eve package is a whopping Dh 10million and features two Lamborghinis, a luxury yacht experience, a men’s watch and a diamond necklace from the Eden collection by Italian brand Damiani.
As part of this, whoever purchases the package will enjoy a three-night stay in the ME Suite and an exclusive VIP New Year’s Eve celebration for up to eight people. This involves a live performance by the traveling band Fiesta Del Circo, which will greet guests in the hotel lobby, followed by an alfresco dinner at Deseo or a meal at Central, a Spanish tapas bar.
As the hotel is located in The Opus development designed by Zaha Hadid by Omniyat, guests should also be able to enjoy the view of the internationally renowned Burj Khalifa fireworks display at midnight.
While a number of pricey New Years Eve packages have already been revealed – starting at Dh7,777 for a night out at Zeta Seventy Seven at Address Beach Resort, which sits next to the infinity pool. the highest in the world, or Dh4,950 to watch Robbie Williams at Atlantis, The Palm – the ME Dubai offer is by far the most expensive of them.
Last year, the hotel announced a package valued at MAD 8.8 million including a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Roadster, a watch and three nights in a ME Suite.
